The 9th annual Montford Music and Arts Festival, the largest of its kind in Western North Carolina, is scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 10 AM to 7 PM, with over 100 vendors of art, crafts, food, and plants - plus two stages for musical entertainment.  The festival is free and takes place at the door step of The Lion and the Rose Bed and Breakfast.  See our photos and blog from last year's festival.

The Asheville Bed and Breakfast Association is hosting the second annual Spring Tour of Inns on June 9 and 10, 2012.  The Lion and the Rose has again partnered with Bouchon Restaurant to offer samples of Chef Michel Badouin's French comfort food.  See our blog post for more information.

"The Hunger Games", a major motion picture released this year, was filmed entirely in North Carolina; and most of the game scenes were shot in the DuPont State Forest, just a short drive from our Asheville Bed and Breakfast.  Stay at The Lion and the Rose while you travel in the footsteps of the movie's cast & crew.

The 27th annual Festival of Flowers at the Biltmore Estate begins April 7 and runs through May 20, 2012.  Our Asheville Bed and Breakfast has Biltmore tickets available for $45 each starting April 1st, and they are good for two consecutive days.
