Asheville Wine & Food Festival August 24 & 25, 2012
The New York Post named the Asheville Wine & Food Festival one of the best of its kind in the country. It features fine local, national, and international wines, great local restaurants, and craft beer & spirits. And, the festival takes place less than a mile from our Asheville Bed and Breakfast.
On Friday, August 24th it's Sweet, featuring locally made desserts, sparkling wines and spirits in the historic Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville .
Saturday, August 25th is the Grand Tasting, held in the downtown Asheville Civie Center/ U.S. Cellular Center, with more than 300 wines, food prepared by some of Asheville's best chefs, samples of local artisan food products such as Lusty Monk Mustard and Imlardis Farm jams, cooking demonstrations, a mixology contest, and a wine competition.
If you're not a wine drinker - not to worry - there will be plenty of craft brews that have earned Asheville its status as Beer City USA. Plus,there will be spirits from regional distilleries.
