Halloween 2013

We had the biggest Halloween turnout ever this year at The Lion and the Rose Bed and Breakfast in Asheville. Our estimate is 300+ trick or treaters, in addition to their parents, our friends and neighbors, and guests at the inn.

Halloween brings back great childhood memories for most people - that's why they love to watch and participate.  Costumes for adults were optional, but pizza and margaritas were required.

The Montford Historic District lends itself well to this bewitching holiday with its 100 year old houses, tree lined streets, famous Riverside Cemetery, and old hospitals where famous people lived and died.

After a threat of rain, the weather cooperated beautifully - it was a crisp fall evening with wind blowing leaves and decorations - making everything magical.  Take a look at some of our photos...maybe you'd like to join us next year!
