Moogfest 2011Moogfest 2011

Moogfest is an annual celebration of Bob Moog's legacy as a sonic pioneer.  In 1964 he invented the Moog Synthesizer and revolutionized popular music.

The festival is a three day multi-venue event held in Asheville, North Carolina - the place Bob Moog called home for the last 30 years of his life.

The 2011 festival is scheduled for October 28 - 30 and will host artists from throughout the world at different sites across Asheville's beautiful, historic downtown.  The list includes Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Moby, Suicide, Kode9 and many, many more.  For a detailed schedule and a complete list of artists, visit the Moogfest web site.

The artists are not limited to those who use Moog instruments, but were chosen instead for creating unique musical experiences that embody Bob Moog's visionary spirit.

In addition to catching live sets from the huge lineup of performing artists, ticket holders will have the chance to talk with the artists directly, play on a variety of Moog instruments, participate in workshops, and check out visual art exhibitions, installations, and film screenings throughout the city.

Tickets are available on line via Ticketmaster through the Moogfest web site, and through the Asheville Civic Center Box Office: 87 Haywood Street, Asheville, NC 28801 - open week days from 10 AM to 5 PM; Phone:  828-259-5544 or 800-745-3000.

If you can't make it to the festival, Moog Music's flagship headquarters office is located just a few blocks from our Asheville Bed and Breakfast.  The new facility allows the public to tour the factory and to test the unique family of Moog products in an interactive showroom.
