Asheville is known for its thriving beer scene, thus receiving the nickname “Beer City USA.” With more than 23 breweries downtown, Asheville boasts more breweries than anywhere else in the U.S. Plan your own brewery hopping tour of Asheville but we are also happy to make recommendations for you. Many of the breweries are clustered close together on Asheville’s South Slope and most breweries are within a mile or so of the B&B.

Burial Beer

Burial Beer crafts boldly American hoppy and dark ales, crisp lagers, and farmhouse-inspired mixed fermentation beer. Dedicated to creativity, tradition, modernization, and preservation, it is a brewery located in a former auto repair shop in the South Slope brewery district.

The Green Man Brewery is one of Asheville's oldest breweries and gets its name from a centuries-old Asheville legend. Green Man is consistently recognized for quality beers and loyalty to traditional English styles. However, their brewers strive to bring innovative and exciting new flavors to beer-loving folks.

Bhramari Brewing

Culinary inspired, locally and globally infused, and experimental at its heart. Find balance, find whimsy, and discover something completely new in every sip of a Bhramari brew. While there are some unique varieties and styles of beer at Bhramari, this is a perfect brewery to try a flight.

Wicked Weed Brewery bottled beers

If you are a sour beer fan, you will enjoy Wicked Weed Brewery and the Funkatorium. Taste delicious award-winning wild and sour ales. With over a dozen varieties of sours and adventurous barrel-aged brews, The Funkatorium became the East Coast's first sour beer dedicated taproom .

The Wedge has three locations, two in the River Arts District as well as one in downtown Asheville. All locations offer the perfect place to stop in for a cold beer after exploring galleries in the River Arts District or shopping downtown.

Visit The Wedge at Grove Arcade, the closest brewery to our B&B. Or try Wedge Studios which is in a warehouse that houses 30+ working artist studios and retail spaces. The Wedge at Foundation is located a mile upstream from Wedge Studios.

Hi-Wire Brewery bottled beer

Visit one of three Hi-Wire Breweries for more traditional styles. They honor the heritage of the beer craft and participate in the culture of experimentation.

Hi-Wire has a fun, light-hearted circus theme. They produce approachable and balanced beers in the heart of Asheville, NC. Choose between three locations: Hi-Wire South Slope, Hi-Wire Big Top and Hi-Wire RAD.

French Broad River Brewery beer taps

Stop in for a beer at one of the oldest breweries in the iconic beer town of Asheville, NC. Named for the river that flows through the heart of the city, The French Broad River Brewery offers a very local feel.

Although the beer styles found at French Broad River Brewery are mostly steeped in European traditions, you will discover other styles such as IPAs, specialty Pale Ales, Kolsch, Scotch Ale, ESB and Porter.

Guests will receive a complimentary pint of beer upon arrival as a welcome. There will be two beers on tap to choose from and on Sundays, beermosas are served with breakfast. Beer lovers need to try the new option of an in room beer tap with the Craft Beer package.
