Hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Passionate about Hiking and Nature

We love to hike and we love to share the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains with you all. Many of you ask how we spend our time off or how we manage to unwind and relax. Hiking is the answer. We are both active, adventurous people and nature has always been a huge priority in our lives. Hiking and reconnecting with nature is our way to revitalize and disconnect from the real world, at least for a little while.

We have hiked hundreds of miles and explored over 60 waterfalls in North Carolina alone. As you can see, we are passionate not only about what we do but where we live and what we can experience around us.

We are always happy to talk about nature, wildlife and the outdoors with anyone interested. We also enjoy making recommendations for hiking trails based on your interests. From waterfalls to wildflowers to breathtaking mountain views, we got you covered.

Guided Hiking in the Mountains

For one day only, we are going to try to combine two of our favorite things, hiking and taking care of our guests.

To celebrate the beauty of Spring and the Year of the Trail, we would like to invite our guests to join us, the innkeepers, on a complimentary guided hike. Our goal will be wildflowers and/or waterfalls. The hike will be on Monday, March 27 after breakfast. The exact trail will be decided closer to the date and it will be chosen according to weather forecast, flower blooms, and hiking experience.

Reconnect with Nature Wellness Retreat Weekends

If you cannot join us for our Spring hike, we also are offering a couple of Reconnect with Nature Wellness Retreat Weekends with one of our local partners. Take a deep breath, unwind and learn about the peaceful practice of forest bathing. Join a certified forest therapy guide for a relaxing 2.5-hour stroll through the forest. You will learn to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature by quieting the mind and awakening the senses. Dates will be the weekend of March 31-April 2 or April 21-23 . Contact us directly for details on pricing and availability.

We are always adding more fun activities and experiences for your visit to Asheville so stay tuned to our website, social media and blog for upcoming events. In the meantime, get outdoors and hope to see you out on a trail!

We are lucky to have great friends that grew up in Asheville. They have told us about some interesting local hauntings and strange experiences. With Halloween around the corner, we thought this was the right time to share some of these ghost stories and legends of paranormal activity.
