New Year and new, exciting things going on at The Lion and the Rose. We have some new experiences for you all in 2023. Let’s take a look at what’s new in 2023.

For the music lover:

70’s / 80’s Music Weekend on January 13-15, 2023

Stay with us for a fun music inspired weekend on January 13-15, 2023. These innkeepers are passionate about music and want you to enjoy live music during your visit to Asheville!

If you are attending one of the following live music events, we will apply a 10% discount to your reservation.

St Patty’s Day Celebration on March 17-19, 2023. Your weekend can include a Cooking with Beer class, daily hot breakfast and a pint of our special beer.

Floating Bar Crawl will be a new activity offered starting in the Spring 2023. Enjoy rafting adventures on tap in Beer City USA. Experience a four-mile float down the French Broad River, one of the world’s oldest rivers, in a commercial raft. Your guided float will include bar hopping by raft to local breweries and dive bars along the river.

For the food lover:

Culinary Retreats on select dates or upon request. Your retreat will include one or more cooking classes, an eating tour of downtown Asheville along with the comfort and coziness of a Bed and Breakfast stay.

For the romantics:

An exclusive and very special romantic couples getaway on Feb 10-12, 2023 in honor of Valentine’s Day. Accommodations in a room of your choice (with hot breakfast daily), a complimentary pint of our limited edition Chocolate Stout beer, a Southern style cooking class, an Eating tour of Asheville, and a beermosa with Sunday’s breakfast.

Our popular romance packages such as the Suite Mountain Romance and Love is in the Mountain Air will still be available for any time throughout the year.

Our elopement package, Mountain Bliss , will still be available with a few different options making it more affordable and customized for 2023.

For the dog lover:

Our Bed and Biscuit days will be back in 2023 on select dates. On these dog friendly days, you are welcome to stay with your pup. Dates include January 13-15, February 16-19 and March 2-5. More dates coming soon.

For the art lover:

Enjoy a colorful urban art tour through the River Arts District, Downtown, and West Asheville to see a beautiful collection of murals, artistic graffiti, sculpture, and street art installations. You’ll learn about the artists’ stories and inspirations and local history that make Asheville a top tourist destination.

For the girls:

Galentine’s Day getaway on Feb 10-12, 2023. On this special weekend, we will be offering an exclusive package. Accommodations in a room of your choice (with hot breakfast daily), a complimentary pint of our limited edition Chocolate Stout beer, a Southern style cooking class, an Eating tour of Asheville, and a beermosa with Sunday’s breakfast will be included to make for a fun, foodie inspired weekend.

For the history lover:

Visit the historic and iconic Biltmore Estate, a stunning and beautiful piece of American history. We will be offering a new special winter Biltmore package for select dates in mid-January through February. Details to come soon. We will also continue to offer a special discount code to guests who stay with us. Discount code will be sent via email after booking is made by phone or online.

For the special event planners:

Rent the inn for your special event including bridal shower, baby shower, champagne brunch or just an afternoon tea party. We are now opening up the dining room, two parlors, front porch, and backyard fire pit areas for your private event. Limited availability so please contact us for more details.

If you are looking for an indoor or outdoor venue for a photo shoot, we will also be renting the inn by the hour for those special photo sessions.

We are lucky to have great friends that grew up in Asheville. They have told us about some interesting local hauntings and strange experiences. With Halloween around the corner, we thought this was the right time to share some of these ghost stories and legends of paranormal activity.
