New and exciting for 2023 is our Culinary Retreat weekends. These weekends include:

  • Accommodations at The Lion and the Rose B&B for 2 or more nights
  • Our homemade, hot breakfast daily
  • A pint of our own beer
  • A cooking class
  • An eating tour of downtown Asheville

This package will be available for 2-6 guests so you can enjoy as a couple, as friends or as family. Currently, this retreat will be offered on select dates or upon request. Whether you love to cook or want to learn, this weekend getaway is a perfect foodie vacation.

Another fun addition we now offer is cooking classes. This won’t be your typical cooking class, it will be about collaboration. Guests will cook together as a group and eat together. Enjoy meeting new people who share the common interest of the culinary arts. Learn fun cooking tips and how to make great recipes. BYOB and share an interesting conversation over your meal with your new friends. Classes include anything from making puff pastries, empanadas, pasta, breads, biscuits, scones or crepes. Try your hand at cooking with beer or making fun foods for game days. Various cuisines you can learn are Southern, Italian, Thai, Indian, Hawaiian, Moroccan or Cajun. Vegetarian and Gluten-Free cooking are yet other options.

Haunted Asheville

We are lucky to have great friends that grew up in Asheville. They have told us about some interesting local hauntings and strange experiences. With Halloween around the corner, we thought this was the right time to share some of these ghost stories and legends of paranormal activity.
